Which plumbing codes are supported?
Pipe Slope Calculator validates slopes against three major code standards: the International Plumbing Code (IPC), the Uniform Plumbing Code (UPC), and the National Plumbing Code of Canada (NPC). Each code has its own minimum slope requirements per pipe size.
Can I switch between imperial and metric units?
Yes. Tap the unit toggle to switch between imperial (inches, feet, in/ft) and metric (millimetres, metres, mm/m) at any time. Calculations are performed in imperial and converted for metric display, so results are consistent regardless of which unit system you use.
What pipe sizes are available?
The app supports 11 standard pipe sizes ranging from 1¼" (DN 32) up to 12" (DN 300), covering the most common drainage pipe diameters used in residential and commercial plumbing.
What does "code compliant" mean?
When your entered slope meets or exceeds the minimum slope required by the selected plumbing code for your chosen pipe size, the app marks it as code compliant. If the slope is too shallow, the app will tell you the minimum required slope so you can adjust your installation.
How does the slope measurement feature work?
The app can use your device's built-in accelerometer to measure the angle of a surface in real time. Place your phone on or against the pipe, and the app reads the tilt. Motion data is processed entirely on your device and is never recorded or transmitted.
Can I save and review past calculations?
Yes. Every calculation is automatically saved to your history (up to the 50 most recent entries). You can review past results at any time, and clear individual entries or the entire history whenever you like.
Does the app need an internet connection?
No. Pipe Slope Calculator is fully offline. All plumbing code data and calculations are built into the app. No account, login, or network connection is required.
Is my data private?
Yes. All data stays entirely on your device. The app does not collect, transmit, or share any personal information. There are no analytics, tracking SDKs, or advertising frameworks. See our privacy policy for full details.
The app crashed — what should I do?
First, make sure you're running the latest version from the App Store. If the issue persists, please email us at forthemcreation@gmail.com with your device model and iOS version so we can investigate.
How do I clear my calculation history?
Open the History section and use Clear All to remove every entry, or swipe left on any individual calculation to delete it. Cleared data is permanently removed from your device.
